CALL FOR ARTISTS SPECIAL EXHIBIT – COLOR OF LIFE

Jackson Junge Gallery is immediately seeking artists’ submissions for their upcoming exhibition COLOR OF LIFE. COLOR OF LIFE is Jackson Junge Gallery’s first group exhibition of 2027 and will ideally feature artworks in all mediums. This exhibition is intended to explore the emotional, psychological, and sensory power of color. The goal is to feature a dynamic selection of works by multiple artists and explore how each piece considers how a single color can shape our moods, memories, perceptions, and experiences. From vibrant and energizing to quiet and contemplative, we hope each artwork will invite the viewer to see color not simply as a visual element, but as a force that affects how we experience the world. The exhibition will be on view March 1 – April 18, 2027, with an artist’s reception to be held on Friday, March 5, 2027, from 6 – 9pm.
Submissions for the exhibition are free.

Exhibition Requirements

  • All submitted work MUST conceptualize the theme above. Priority and preference will be given to newer works.
  • Artists working with any medium are encouraged to submit artwork.
  • There is no size restriction.
  • No artwork reproductions will be accepted.
  • Artworks MUST be original, professionally presented, and ready for installation.

Directions for Submission

  • Write “COLOR OF LIFE” as the Exhibition Name on the form. Mismarked submissions may not be reviewed.
  • When attaching images to each submission, they must be attached as jpegs with the file name as “artist’s last name_artwork title”. Mislabeled jpegs will be unable to be processed.
  • Please only submit your COMPLETED artwork. We do not need to see examples of your past work.
 Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday, January 3, 2027. Artists will be notified before the end of January if their artwork was selected or not. You will not receive any email before then. Please, no phone calls. If selected, artwork must be received no later than Sunday, February 28, 2027.
